Sharks Family BBQ

Come One Come All to the Sharks Family BBQ!!!!

Who:  All Shark swimmers and their families.

What:  Family BBQ and Awards for the 2010 swimming year.

Awards will be presented promptly at 3:30

Where:  On the far side of the Landings Beach

When:  Sunday, March 27th from 2-5

It will be potluck style.  Each swimmer is assigned what to bring according to their last name.  Example:  My last name is Spiegelberg, according to the list below, I will bring a dessert and a snack.  Please plan to make for around 15 people.  Everyone is asked to bring their dish(food they are making) and a drink to share.

A-D  Main dish  (Items that are barbequed.  Hot dogs, chicken, etc.)

E-J  Side dish (macaroni and cheese, potato salad, rice, etc.)

K-W  Dessert and Snack (brownies, cookies, chips and dip, etc.)

  

 Can’t wait to see everyone for some fun in the sun!!!!!!

I have now posted results to date on the SLASA Sight.

Highlights

Siona has Gold & Silver in her events with a National Record in the 100m Free
Joshua a Bronze in the 100m Fly
Jason got a CARIFTA qual time and a Silver in the 100m Free
Runako has 5 Golds with an Age Group Record in the 100m Free
Congratulations to our swimmers.

I had one very short e-mail last night. Siona had a new National Record in the 100m Free of 1:01.06

National Sports Awards

At the National Sports Awards on the 19th February 2011, Sharks were awarded the following:-
Jamie Peterkin was given a Coach of the Year award.
Siona Huxley was made the Junior Sportswoman of the year for 2010, for the 4th time.
Runako Daniel was made Junior Sportsman of the Year for the 2nd time.

Julien Brice was given the Male Swimmer of the Year Award with Dani Beaubrun recieving the Female Swimmer of the Year award.
