There were many fine performances, in particular Jordan Augier with a National Record in the 100m Breast in a time of 1:08.83 along with Age Group Records in 2 events & of course Runako Daniel with Age Group Records in 2 events, stand out. Siona, Runako & Cathy McCann were also overall points winners in their age groups. Well done to all our athletes.

I would like to remind all parents and swimmers that this swimmeet will determine the selection of the St. Lucia OECS Team, that will be hosted in Saint Lucia from November 4th - 6th.
Please respond as soon as possible as entries are due by tomorrow evening, NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted.

Hi Sharks
Hi SHARKS:
I would like to thank all the swimmers and parents who came to the Team Gathering at the Aquatic Centre last week Friday ;the kids had a great time playing games & swimming relays together and it truly is a great team bonding activity. Please listen out for the date of our next gathering, and I hope to see even more SHARKS swimmers & parents at the next one.
Of the topics discussed during a brief parents meeting, I would like to address the call for parent volunteers at the National Short Course Championships to be hosted by Sea Jays Swim Club this weekend at the Aquatic Centre. This a 3 day swim meet that will run from Friday, October 7th - Sunday, October 9th.
It would be great to have as many SHARKS swimmers as possible at the pool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday to take part in the opening ceremony (opening ceremony to commence at 5:30 p.m.) and also use it as an opportunity to take a team photo. Please wear your SHARKS tie die shirt or your grey shirt if you/ your swimmer plans on attending
We have been asked to provide 12 parents names to the Sea Jays Swim Club to help with timing and officiating (if qualified), for the weekend. This works out to 4 individuals per day and I would appreciate if we could fulfil this request. Having enough officials and timers will ensure a timely start to each session which will benefit the swimmers, (especially on Friday evening so they may leave the pool to get home to rest for a long weekend of swimming). Of course we will accept as many parents who wish to help out, but for now, please respond to this email an indicate when you will be available to help.
Session 1: Friday October 7th = Meet begins at 6 p.m. (must be available to help at 5:45 p.m.)
Session 2: Saturday October 8th = Begins at 9 a.m. (available at 8:45 a.m.)
Session 3: Sunday October 9th = Begins at 10 a.m. (available at 9:45 a.m.)
Please respond to this email, or speak with me or Coach Tom at the pool this week and let us know which date(s) or session(s) will work for you to help make this meet a success.
Thank you for your time and hope to see lots of SHARKS (swimmers & Parents) cheering in the stands this weekend.
Regards,
Coach Jamie
