Dani's final Final

50m Breast
Last evening Dani swam her last final at CAC, she was 6th overall in 33.15, this time, less than 1/10 sec slower than her record breaking morning swim. This completes her time at CAC with included two finals and no less than 5 National & 5 Age Group Records.

Julien & Runako do time trial

Julien had a time trial in the 50m Free had a great reaction time of just 0.66 and finished in 24.63 an Age Group Record.

At the same time Runako did a 100m Free Time Trial he too had a great reaction time of 0.64 and finished in 56.25 - Also an Age Group Record

Nice finish by the guys.....

Another Final For Dani

In the 50m Breast Dani once again made a new national Record taking it from 33.22 to 33.09 giving her 5th place and another final tonight.

Siona in the 50m Free was 24th in 28.57

This is our last day of competition

Runako & Julien Have their final swim at CAC

50m Fly, both came close to their personal bests with times of:-
Julien 26th in 27.62
Runako 27th in 28.05

Tomorrow morning Siona swims the 50m Free and Dani swims the 50 Breast.

Good morning for our swimmers

Siona in the 100m Back got 1:08.39 and 14th place by far her best swim in this event since Rome last year.
50m Free
Julien Brice had a very good time of 24.83 and placed 26th.
Runako got an Age Group Record with his 25.15 in 27th place.

All in all a very good morning

Dani 4th Overall in the 100m Breast

100m Breast 4th Overall in 1:12.30 a New National Record.
She also broke the 50m Breast National Record again the the first 50m of the race with a time of 33.22.

Runako in the 100m Fly was 24th in 1:03.63

Dani did brilliantly in the 100m Breast coming in 4th in 1:12.98 so she will be off to finals this evening.

Just one event today 50m Back

Siona was very disappointed with her16th place in 31.45 in the 50m Back. In general the events have been of a very high standard with many records being taken.

A Little News from Puerto Rico

First, congratulations to Errol Clark, Barbados on becoming CCCAN President, John Eyre of jamaica was reelected as Secretary and  Algernon Cargill ( Bahamas) is now Vice President. This should make for a very fine team at CCCAN.

I have been told that the events at CAC will be streamed live on the internet. I have not yet seen any links other than a generic YouTube link. More on this later I hope

CAC Team Settled in Games Village

Our CAC Team, Danni, Siona Runako & Julien arrived safely in Mayagues after a trouble free but long journey They had a practice in the afternoon and a quiet evening.

Races start on Sunday.

I just checked with LIAT and the flight is very much on time so we should see them at about 8:30 pm

Early Finals for Day 5 now over

100m Free.
Brad was 8th in 55.39.
Runako 4th in 56.72
Siona as 1st Alt swam after one swimmer pulled out, she was 8th in 1:04.51.

Lets hope they have a great party tonight and easy flights tomorrow,
They should arrive back at about 8:30pm Saturday.

Only Runako swimming today he has 3rd in prlim in 30.66, so off to finals this evening.
